In the beginning the best day for me was Thursday. Early around 8 am or later around 9pm but as the number of my friends grew, this changed big time. So timing will depend on where the majority of your Facebook friends are located. The time zones are different for different parts of the country and world.
Another great option for you would to be to post at different times throughout the day to make sure you hit all the hot time periods for the main time zones. You can use tools such as Hootsuite or SocialOomph to auto update your status.

You can schedule your post which will save you a ton of time.
I like to call it the Ghost of Kenny Boykin. He’s there when I’m not. This gives me an all time presence on my social media networks.
Not just on Facebook but the more you automate the more it will free you up to tackle other task, like focusing on other ways to bring traffic to your blog.
