Never Stop 3 Feet from Gold

I read an amazing story in “Think and Grow Rich”.

My Translated Version

A guy caught the Gold Itch during the great gold rush.
Well It so happen, he was more than lucky.
He Hit Gold……Literally

So

He being the smart guy he was.  He kept it cool, played it off, and covered his tracks.
He went home and gathered his boys and a few family members.
 
They put their money together, bought some tools and equipment and was on their way to become Bill Gates Rich!

He found his covered up tracks and began to dig.
He did find some gold, but after a period of time the gold vein ran dry.
 
He dug for a little bit longer, but like most of us. 
He Quit
He and his boys stop digging.  The sold the equipment to a junk man and took the train home.
 
When Opportunity knocks- Open the door

The junk man saw his chance.  He wasn’t willing to give up that easy.
 
Knowing when to ask for help

The junk man reached out to experts.  He found out important information about gold mines.  He was told sometimes gaps are sometimes between gold veins.  If he dug a few more feet he would find gold.  So he began digging and like he was told.  There Was Gold!!!!!!
He pulled millions from that gold mine.
 
3 Keys to learn from the junk man

–          Answering the door when opportunity knocks
–          Never give up
–          Know when to ask for help
 
Lessoned learned from the finder

–          Never quit. You never know how close you are to achieving your goals.

But fortunately it didn’t end bad for him.  It was a huge, I mean huge lessoned learned.  He later went into the insurance business.  He would not take no for an answer.  He said he would never stop 3 feet from gold again.
 
He went on to become one
of the early insurance
GREATS.
He made up for the gold
lost and made millions in
insurance.  It was a lesson
no one could ever forget.
 It was like giving away a
winning lottery ticket and
not scratching off the last box.
 

We all can learn from that lesson and never give up.
